New Update for Dama Program Opportunities ART Fees in 2026
WA DAMA Goldfields Now Part of the WA DAMA
The New Update for Dama Program Opportunities and ART Fees from 1 July 2026 brings important changes for employers and migration applicants across Western Australia. From 1 July 2026, the Goldfields Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) no longer operates as a standalone agreement. Instead, it has been incorporated into the broader Western Australia Designated Area Migration Agreement (WA DAMA).
This change streamlines new applications under a single state-wide WA DAMA system, making the application process more consistent across Western Australia.
Despite the restructure, Goldfields employers will continue to retain at least 500 places each year, ensuring ongoing access to employer-sponsored migration opportunities within the region.
Keep in Mind: Goldfields employers retain their annual allocation of at least 500 places, but all new applications will now be processed under the unified WA DAMA.
ART Review Fee Increased from 1 July 2026
From 1 July 2026, the fee to lodge a migration review application with the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) has increased from AUD 3,580 to AUD 3,727.
The updated fee applies to all migration review applications lodged on or after 1 July 2026.
In addition, Federal Circuit Court migration filing fees have also increased from the same date.
New Update for Dama Program
Keep in Mind: Applicants planning to seek a migration review should ensure they are aware of the updated ART and Federal Circuit Court filing fees before lodging their application.
